Jack Snodgrass

Steven Jackson Snodgrass (born December 16, 1987) is an American professional baseball pitcher currently playing in the San Francisco Giants minor league system.
He was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Prior to playing professionally, he attended Bowling Green High School, then Walters State Community College, before going to Austin Peay State University. With Walters State in 2007, he was 5-2 with a 5.08 ERA in 12 games (five starts) and the next year, he was 6-1 with a 5.62 ERA in 12 starts. In 2009, his first year at Austin Peay, he was 3-3 with a 7.33 ERA in 14 games (10 starts). After being redshirted in 2010 due to a torn labrum,〔(Long road to pros for Snodgrass )〕 he was 4-6 with a 3.50 ERA in 19 games (four starts) during his final year of college.〔(The Baseball Cube )〕
The Giants drafted him in the 27th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft.〔(BR draft page )〕〔(Savvy Snodgrass awaits big chance in the pros )〕 With the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in 2011, Snodgrass was 4-1 with a 3.59 ERA in 19 games (4 starts). He was 10-8 with a 4.62 ERA in 27 games (26 starts) for the San Jose Giants in 2012, earning a spot on the California League Mid-Season All-Star team.〔(San Jose Giants Pitcher Jack Snodgrass Named to the 2012 California League All-Star Team )〕 In 2013, he was 12-4 with a 3.70 ERA in 25 starts for the Richmond Flying Squirrels. On April 5 of that year, he pitched the first part of a 7-inning no-hitter against the New Britain Rock Cats, with Daryl Maday pitching the 7th inning. Snodgrass allowed only a walk to Evan Bigley, but was otherwise perfect.
